Policy Statement

Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to:

- Reduce stigma and discrimination around mental health issues.
- Promote positive mental health in the workplace.
- Provide guidance and support to employees experiencing mental health difficulties.
Scope
This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and sub-contractors of GUARDON SECURITY LTD, regardless of position or employment status.
Our Commitment
We will:
- Create a safe and inclusive workplace environment.
- Encourage open conversations about mental health.
- Train management to identify and support employees showing signs of mental distress.
- Signpost to appropriate professional support and services.
- Support flexible working arrangements where possible to assist mental wellbeing.
- Treat all mental health matters sensitively and confidentially.
Employee Responsibilities
All employees are encouraged to:
- Take responsibility for their own mental wellbeing.
- Seek help if they are experiencing mental health challenges.
- Support colleagues and contribute to an open, respectful working culture.
- Report concerns to management or a designated wellbeing officer.
Manager Responsibilities
Managers at GUARDON SECURITY LTD will:
- Be approachable and available to discuss any mental health concerns.
- Foster a supportive environment where staff feel comfortable discussing mental health.
- Offer reasonable adjustments where necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality unless there is a risk to the individual or others.
Support and Resources
We will provide information and signposting to:
- NHS mental health services
- Mental health charities (e.g. Mind, Samaritans)
- Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP) when available
- GP or occupational health services
Monitoring and Review
This policy will be reviewed annually or as needed to reflect changes in legislation, best practice, or company needs. Feedback from employees will be considered during
